New Base Camp

In an effort to provide the best religious formation we can to our parish youth, this summer St. Gerard is inaugurating an intensive summer Religious Education program for our parish grades 1-8 youth as well as a fall/spring program.

The summer intensive program (known as Base Camp) will be held July 13-16 and July 20-23. The students will receive the required hours of religious education as mandated by the Diocese of Lansing and have opportunities to participate at Mass and receive Sacraments such as the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

The summer Religious Education program is intended to aid our families who deal regularly with schedule conflicts during the school year. We have children from the Waverly, Grand Ledge, Dewitt, and Lansing School District in our parish programs. Coordinating School expectations with our Religious Education expectations is challenging.

For many of our families the Summer Intensive program is of great benefit. Please join me in praying that this effort to help our “overly stressed families” proves fruitful and blessed.
