Rite of Election at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish

WE DO NOT HAVE CLASS AT ST. GERARD THAT MORNING. Instead, we will travel to St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in East Lansing to celebrate the Rite of Election with the Bishop. The Rite begins at 3pm but because there is no assigned seating by parishes, you and your sponsor or godparent should arrive by 2:40pm to find seating together, socially distant from others. At this ceremony, you and many others who have been on the same journey as you from other parishes, will gather to meet the Bishop. He will give you his special blessing as you prepare to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist at the Easter Vigil.
