Christmas Day is on Dec. 25 every year, but Christmas Mass can be celebrated on Christmas Eve, including Midnight Mass. Christmas is the day that we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ into the world, who is Emmanuel (which means "God with us"). This is the second most important day of the Church year (Easter is the first).
Christmas is a time for feasting, celebrating, and rejoicing--Christ has come! It is a time to really give thanks for the blessings that you have received during the year and a time to renew your commitment to Christ.
The color for Christmas is white. This is is a symbol of purity and holiness. All the world has been waiting for Christ to come, and now the waiting is over. God Himself has come to His people, like us in all things but sin. Salvation is now at hand!
