(Thanksgiving Weekend)

Today's class will focus on the great mystery of our faith, the Incarnation: when God became Man. It's a wonderful lesson to help prepare us for Christmas! In addition, we will have a sponsor/godparent meeting in another room. They will then join us in class after the meeting so together we can all talk about the next step of Becoming Catholic: The Rite for Entrance into the Catechumenate and Welcoming the Candidates, which takes place on Dec 15th!

Join us for lunch and fellowship! Today some of the St. Gerard school band kids will bless us with Christmas music to start off our time together!

The Rite for Entrance into the Catechumenate and Welcoming Candidates is a ceremony during Mass that signifies your desire to continue forward on this faith journey to Become Catholic. At this point, scripture and Mass will become a more integral part of our classes week to week. After Mass, we will enjoy coffee and donuts with the community.

Check in at the adult ed room prior to 9am Mass, then head to Mass. After the homily, you will be dismissed back to the classroom for discussion of the scripture of the day. Then class will begin when Mass is finished. Our discussion will be an introduction to the Sacraments. Catholics have very tangible ways to experience God, and we will talk a little about this today. Snacks and coffee are provided.
